El piloto del Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS dará comienzo al crucial triplete de carreras transoceánicas este fin de semana en Japón, con la confianza por las nubes después de lograr un podio en la última cita en Aragón.

Márquez afronta ahora un largo viaje al circuito de 4,8km del Twin Ring Motegi y llega decidido a luchar por estar delante una vez más, en la que promete ser otra intensa batalla a 23 vueltas.

Alex llega al Este de Asia decidido a mostrar el espíritu de lucha que le llevó a conseguir un segundo puesto excepcional en MotorLand Aragón el mes pasado. El piloto de 20 años cuenta con un gran récord en el Twin Ring Motegi, circuito que forma parte de un inmenso complejo del motor que entró por primera vez en el calendario del Campeonato del Mundo en 1999.

De las cuatro victorias del español en Moto3, dos llegaron en el Twin Ring Motegi, y la última en 2014, le ayudó a conseguir el Campeonato del Mundo esa temporada.

Álex Márquez:
“Estamos listos para empezar las tres carreras asiáticas y lo hacemos desde un gran punto de partida después del fantástico segundo puesto en Aragón. Me gusta correr en Japón y he tenido bastante éxito allí en Moto3, así que espero volver a conseguirlo en Moto2 este año. Las próximas tres carreras son siempre un reto y tienes que mantenerte concentrado al 100% para estar a tu mejor nivel en todas ellas; además de evitar cualquier lesión. Estoy preparado al máximo después de un par de semanas de buen entrenamiento después de Aragón y, por supuesto, mi motivación es muy alta para tratar de repetir el podio de la última prueba. Mi objetivo para las próximas tres carreras es ser consistente en todas ellas y sumar unos cuantos puntos en circuitos como Malasia, donde siempre me ha costado un poco más.”

Márquez take momentum to Motegi

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider begins the crucial triple-header flyaway races in Japan this weekend with confidence sky high after his stunning podium finish last time out in Aragón.

Márquez now make the long trip to the 4.8km Twin Ring Motegi track determined to be fighting at the front of the field once again in what promises to be another all-action 23-lap battle.

Márquez heads to East Asia determined to demonstrate the fighting spirit that earned him an exceptional second place at Motorland Aragon last month. The 20-year-old has a terrific record at the Twin Ring Motegi, which is part of a vast motorsport and leisure complex that first joined the World Championship calendar in 1999.

Two of the Spaniard’s four wins in the Moto3 category came at the Twin Ring Motegi and the last in 2014 was pivotal in helping him capture the World Championship that year.

Álex Márquez:
“We are ready to start the three flyaway races from a very good starting point after the fantastic race to second place in Aragon. I enjoy racing in Japan and I’ve had a lot of success there in the past in Moto3, so I hope it can be the same again in Moto2 this year. The next three races are always a tough challenge and you must keep 100% concentrated to be at your best level in all of them and remain free from injury. I’m fully prepared after a couple of good weeks training after Aragon and of course my motivation is very high to try and repeat the podium from the last round. My objective for the next three races is to be consistent in all of them and gain strong points in tracks where I struggle like in Malaysia.”
